RouteStock is a local-first app with no account system. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what we collect, what we do with it, and what we never do.

The short version

  • Your machine names, locations, counts, and cash records are stored locally on your device using SwiftData.
  • We do not operate servers that store your business records.
  • We use PostHog for anonymous product-usage analytics only — never your business records.
  • We do not sell your data. Not ever, not to anyone.
  • We do not collect your name, contacts, photos, precise location, or any linked bank/payment-account data.
  • RevenueCat manages subscription status only, using an anonymous identifier — it never receives your business records.

1. Who we are

RouteStock is operated by Openverse. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@openverse.tech.

2. What data we collect

Business records you enter

Machine names, locations, addresses, product par levels and counts, cash/card amounts collected, and any notes you add. This is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and is never uploaded to our servers.

Usage analytics

To understand how the app is used and improve it, we use PostHog to record anonymous product-usage events (e.g. "a check-in was saved," "the paywall was viewed"). These events do not include your machine names, addresses, cash amounts, or notes.

Subscription and payment data

Payments are processed through Apple's App Store. RouteStock uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status using an anonymous identifier. Neither RevenueCat nor RouteStock has access to your credit card or billing information — that data never leaves Apple.

What we do NOT collect

  • No name, contacts, photos, or precise location data.
  • No linked bank or payment-account data beyond standard App Store purchase handling.
  • No advertising SDKs and no advertising identifiers — RouteStock does not run ads.
  • No account or sign-in system — there is no email/password account tied to your business records.

3. How we use your data

We use your information solely to:

  • Provide and maintain the RouteStock app on your device
  • Compute your restock picklists and profit rollups
  • Manage your subscription through Apple/RevenueCat
  • Understand aggregate usage patterns to improve the app

We never use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

4. Who we share your data with

RouteStock works with a small number of infrastructure providers, none of which receive your business records:

  • PostHog — Anonymous product-usage events (screen views, feature usage counts) tied to an app-generated identifier, not your business records.
  • RevenueCat — Subscription management using an anonymous identifier and entitlement status, not your business records.
  • Apple (App Store) — App distribution and payment processing, governed by Apple's terms.

We do not sell, rent, or license your data to any third party. If we are ever required by law to disclose data, we will notify you as permitted by law before doing so.

5. Data storage & security

Your machines, product slots, stops, and cash records are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. Data on your device is protected by your device's own hardware encryption and passcode/biometric lock. If you enable iCloud backup on your device, RouteStock's local data may be included in your encrypted iCloud backup.

6. Data deletion

Go to Settings → Delete All Data to permanently remove every machine, product slot, stop, and cash entry from your device. Deletion is immediate and irreversible, and — because your records are stored only on your device — does not require any server-side processing.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access all data stored in the app at any time
  • Delete all your data from the app at any time via Settings → Delete All Data
  • Opt out of a subscription at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings

If you are located in the EU, you have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights or ask questions, contact us at privacy@openverse.tech.

8. Children's privacy

RouteStock is a business-utility app not designed for, and does not knowingly collect data from, children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app and shared personal information with us, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, the updated date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
